Company History During the early stages of trading Arrow Bulk Marketing concentrated mainly on transport broking and operated out of the offices of Arrow Bulk Carriers offices. It was soon realised that there was a demand for a warehouse facility. The warehouse facility would add value and would serve as a convenience for the current client base and as a result a premise was acquired in Spartan. In 1994 current Directors bought-out the shareholders from Arrow Bulk Carriers. The acquirement of the warehouse in Spartan proved so successful that a bigger facility was sought and the business moved to the current day location in the freight business hub of Pomona. The senior staff of Arrow Bulk shares an excess of 100 years worth of industry experience between them. Arrow Bulk Logistics commenced operations in July 2007 as 51% Black Owned entity, ensuring their growth in all aspects of the New South Africa. Services offered Our African division successfully services countries like: Angola, Botswana, DRC, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Namibia, Mozambique, Swaziland, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Part loads as well as full loads are also one of the services offered by us. We offer a service as transport consultants where we can analyse your entire supply chain and on conclusion present you with solutions, or alternatives, in an effort to drive costs down. We will endeavor to put forward a cost effective, reliable, safe and simple logistics solution. Ultimately, we would like to prove to you that there more affordable, and also very reliable, solutions available for consideration. Our commercial side of the business caters for consignments that are shipped by road in either pantechnicon, tautliner or on flat deck trailers. Commodities moved are amongst others; swimming pool equipment and accessories, safety components and equipment, electrical equipment and supplies, plastics, chemicals, packaging, rubber products, and bicycles. Abnormal loads also feature very proudly on our company cv. Certain commodities cannot be moved on public roads without exceeding the limitations in terms of dimensions and or mass as described by the National Traffic Act. Whether you require an 11 ton or 110 ton lowbed trailer we have the expertise to provide you with the solution. A large portion of our business revolves around the electrical industry, where we have gained much knowledge and expertise. This involves the transport of transformers and equipment for power stations and sub-stations. Once on site we rig off the transformer to plinth, assist with the erection of the accessories and at times the hand over. Through this we have successfully done numerous projects involving rigging and/or cranes.
